Footage from yesterday’s emotional unveiling of the Brian Clough statue in Nottingham city centre. You can see and hear the estimated 4,000 crowd, a bit of Cloughie’s favourite Sinatra song, a few words from the great man himself and Barbara Clough acknowledging the turnout before revealing the memorial itself.
Exclusive photos of the Brian Clough statue can be seen here.

From where I was I couldn’t really see how far back the crowds went - that’s an incredible turnout!
I know some people were complaining about it being on a work day, but really they couldn’t have fitted more people onto that space so that was probably a good decision.
The peolpe of Birmingham must be proud ;)
Excellent work there, Alan! I was kind of sandwiched in the crowd, and had some lump of a footballer come and stand in front of me at the crucial moment.
And he wasn’t wearing shirt, tie, blazer or shoes! Scruffy git…
The statue is a truly wonderful piece of work - immense, heartfelt thanks and congratulations go to all who have given so much time and effort in making this happen.
It was actually Rich who recorded the video; I dutifully handed him my camera when it became apparent his battery had died on him :)
I was busy trying to get a snap as it as unveiled on the phone to send to Stuart for here!
