Moose: Almost on the Loose
With a hectic month of tough fixtures coming up, Forest fans were today welcomed with the news of the imminent return of critical players Robert Earnshaw, Paul Anderson, and Guy Moussi.
Moussi has been unavailable to play since breaking his ankle in the home defeat against Crystal Palace in early October last year. Fans will be eagerly anticipating the return of the 6 ft 2 in defensive midfielder, who has yet to fully fulfil the promise he showed during the course of his few months of appearances.
Paul Anderson is still at least three weeks from returning to full training after sustaining a fractured wrist and dislocated shoulder in the feisty away fixture at arch-rivals Derby in the FA Cup last month. Memories of Eugene Bopp were conjured up that night, as Anderson writhed on the floor and Forest fans fearing the worst for their creative winger on-loan from Liverpool.
Concerns still remain over Nathan Tyson and Robert Earnshaw for this weekends fixture at St Andrews, but Forest are hopeful over the pair being fit enough to play. Tyson suffered a deep gash to head after an elbow waylaid him innocuous at home to QPR last weekend, and Earnshaw has been troubled by a hamstring problem for the past few weeks meaning that he missed a return to international football this week with the Welsh side after nearly 6 months in the wilderness.
James Perch, however, looks set to recapture up his role as captain ET again this weekend having recovered from concussion. It seems that if Perch is not kicking a football himself, he his being kicked in the head by one player or another. Perch has the unfortunate record of being Forest’s most concussed player, with three events to his name so far.
