| Create a video for LTLF and win £50 |
Last month the leading independent Nottingham Forest website LTLF.co.uk launched its own YouTube channel.
But it has now occurred to us that we don’t actually have anything to put on there, apart from videos of our team members doing stupid things (such as cheese rolling in Gloucestershire and abseiling off the Brian Clough Stand roof) and forum users making prats of themselves on national television (including several appearances on Soccer AM).
So we’re throwing down the gauntlet to budding film-makers to help us out – and offering a £50 commission for the best one we receive.
Without wanting to sound like some corny advertising agency, we’re looking for short and snappy creations, the kind of video that people will want to share with their mates, something that will draw people to our YouTube channel and make them want to look at the website as well.
Your video can be in any style. It could be an advert, a song, an acted sketch or a photo montage. Ideally it will reflect elements of the site, so it might be funny, informative or passionate. It doesn’t have to be of a professional standard, just so long as it is interesting enough for people to watch and share it.
You don’t have to be a Forest fan to enter. Whatever your background or interests, and whatever your budget and experience, if you want to have a go at making a video that will get people looking at LTLF, please feel welcome to get involved – you never know until you try!
Rules
Videos should be:
- Less than three minutes long.
- Your own work.
- Submitted directly to LTLF and not posted on any public video sharing sites until the competition results are announced.
Videos should not be:
- Offensive or containing bad language.
Judging
Entries will be posted anonymously on the LTLF YouTube channel as we receive them. The winner will be selected by the LTLF admin team, taking into account user comments and viewings on YouTube.
Prizes
The prize for the winning video is a £50 commission to create a viral video to advertise our new football blogging site OmniFootball. The money will be paid by cheque or PayPal after the commission has been completed. We’re running this competition to find someone imaginative enough to promote our new site and we’ll most likely ask the winner to produce something similar to the video they make for LTLF, though we will be welcome to new ideas.
Submission
All entries must be submitted directly as PC-compatible video files. Please do not send us links to a video already uploaded to a public video sharing site – these will not be accepted.
You can enter as many times as you like.
By submitting a video to the LTLF Video Competition you are giving LTLF permission to upload that video to the LTLF YouTube channel. Entries will be posted there indefinitely unless the entrant requests otherwise.
The closing date for entries is 31 September and the ‘LTLF Oscars’ will take place in October after we have had time to judge the winner.
To enter, please send your video by email to alex@ltlf.co.uk* with the subject ‘LTLF Video Competition’.
*If your video file is bigger than 10mb, please email us before sending the video.
