Busy Month Ahead

»» News

Despite the lack of any news regarding new transfer signings thus far, Mark Arthur has told supporters that he is still expecting a busy month ahead.

According to the Nottingham Evening Post, Forest are waiting for a reply from Southampton with regard to the 1 million pound plus bid for talented striker David Mcgoldrick, that Arthur recently confirmed. As well as this, the club are still in negotiations to sign targets, Paul Mckenna, Dexter Blackstock and Doncaster record signing, Matt Mills.

Whilst not yet confirmed, it is being widely reported that Billy Davies has secured the signing of target man, Dele Adebola and also wishes to add Chris Gunter to a list of signings that should be lengthy, creating a squad that has two players for every position.

Forest will have to part with some serious cash if they are to be succesful with all of these transfers since the signings of Blackstock, Mckenna, Mills and Mcgoldrick could set them back around 5-6 million, and with loan fees for Chris Gunter, as well as any potential future transfers it could be a big spending summer.

However, it’s still early and there is plenty of time for all these deals to hopefully be done, all in all, it’s looking bright for Nottingham Forest.
