Lynch Deal On The Rocks?
Last season loanee, and close season target Joel Lynch has divided fans in his time at Forest, but with a string of impressive performances toward the end of the season, the Reds seem determined to get their man with only Brighton standing in their way.
Brighton chairman Dick Knight seems to be holding Forest to ransom over the transfer, and speaking recently to the Nottingham Evening Post, Knight has outlined his point of view;
“Joel will only leave the club if we get the right offer for him, he has two more years left on his contract and is a Brighton player. He is well under 24 and we have had him since he was 10 years old so he comes into that Bosman category.”
Forest are expected to continue negotiations for the promising defender who has allegedly attracted interest from Fulham and Middlesbrough, but as has been continuously stated, will not be held to ransom, and will thus presumably look elsewhere should Brighton continue to rebuff their interest.
One alleged salvation for the deal could come through a swap deal involving Forest loaning Brighton one of their promising midfielders, with Garath McCleary and Matthew Thornhill being of interest to the seagulls. It remains to be seen whether either will be part of any deal, but should this be the case, Brighton would be gaining a very able League One Player.

Mcleary for Lynch? You’re having a laugh. GM is way to good for the sea birds.
