Forest legends Pearce, Walker and Sheringham appear in music video
It could be the start of a glorious musical career for one former Forest player, and perhaps acting careers beckon for a trio of Reds legends…
Ex-Academy star John Burns, who made a handful of first team appearances in the mid ’90s, is now guitarist with Nottingham-based band The Establishment who release their début single in September.
And to help launch the song, he’s enlisted the help of some of his former Forest team-mates.
Stuart Pearce, Des Walker and Teddy Sheringham – along with Les Ferdinand and Coronation Street actor Chris Gascoyne – make cameo appearances in the video for ‘Be That Way’ (watch below).
Pearce and Des play bouncers (pictured above), Teddy is a bar room punter and Les plays a barman – all of whom have their eyes caught by one of The Establishment’s rather attractive fans.
The video was shot at a bar in London, with live footage of the band filmed at Nottingham’s Central venue.
Another footballing connection with the band is that the unlikely figure of Dion Dublin is their manager!
LTLF caught up with John Burns recently and he told us that the band will be launching the single with a special performance at the Southbank bar and some of the video’s guest stars will be popping along. Needless to say, we’ll be there to have a word with them about their burgeoning acting careers, but in the meantime enjoy their performances below:
‘Be That Way’ is available for pre-order on Cubit rercords.
