DISPATCHES: Getting it in the neck
Another round-up of football’s most bizarre stories and on-the-pitch incidents.
Odd
We begin this week’s bulletin, unusually, with some Forest news.
Following Martin O’Neill’s resignation from Aston Villa, Billy Davies is among the favourites to take over the job. Albeit he is 65-1, but it’s better to be an also-run than a non-starter. The idea of Billy managing at Villa Park is amusing, not least the prospect of him trying to get on with Randy Lerner.
Unfortunately for Billy, some bookmakers also make him odds-on favourite to be the first Championship manager to get the boot at 9-2.
A bit fishy
