WIN Peter Ward “He Shot, He Scored” Biography

Peter Ward is better known for his time at Brighton (voted Brighton’s All-Time greatest player by Sky Sports viewers earlier this year) but he also had a spell at the City Ground working under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor.

Ward’s time at Nottingham Forest was certainly not what he was hoping for and resulted in him turning his back on the English league and return to play in USA.

Audience with Billy Davies date change

Busy Billy has rescheduled his ‘Audience With’ appearance at The Approach next month – originally planned for the 12 November, the event will now take place on Thursday, 26 November. Refunds will be available to those with tickets who now can’t make it and you can still win a pair of tickets from LTLF. Billy is apparently going to be in America on the 12th. He might just be on holiday, but if it’s a scouting mission we can get the lowdown from him two week’s later!

Create a video for LTLF and win £50

Last month the leading independent Nottingham Forest website LTLF.co.uk launched its own YouTube channel.

But it has now occurred to us that we don’t actually have anything to put on there, apart from videos of our team members doing stupid things (such as cheese rolling in Gloucestershire and abseiling off the Brian Clough Stand roof) and forum users making prats of themselves on national television (including several appearances on Soccer AM).

So we’re throwing down the gauntlet to budding film-makers to help us out – and offering a £50 commission for the best one we receive.

An Audience With Jemson and Crossley…

Nigel Jemson and Mark Crossley were guest speakers at another of The Approach’s “An Audience With….” series.

After a slightly late start, compere Darren Fletcher introduced Nigel Jemson (to a chorus of “who ate all the pies?!”) who proceeded to amuse and enlighten us with stories about his career, many of which, unsurprisingly, involved Brian Clough.
