Peter Ward is better known for his time at Brighton (voted Brighton’s All-Time greatest player by Sky Sports viewers earlier this year) but he also had a spell at the City Ground working under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor.
Ward’s time at Nottingham Forest was certainly not what he was hoping for and resulted in him turning his back on the English league and return to play in USA.
Peter Ward the official Biography “He Shot, He Scored” is out now but if you fancy trying to win a signed copy of the book complete the from below.

Okay, calm down ladies! It’s not really a date (though let’s face it, the portly Forest legend and unlikely media luvvie probably knows some good places to eat!), but the latest Audience With… event at the Approach.
You know the deal by now – answer a simple question to win a pair of tickets to go and see a former Forest great talking about his career and answering questions from the floor. And not only will you get Kenny (who is promoting his autobiography, No Ifs or Butts), you also get John Robertson and John McGovern too!
An Evening With Kenny Burns takes place on Thursday, 3 December, at The Approach on Friar Lane, Nottingham. Tickets are £10 and everyone attending also gets a free signed copy of Kenny’s book! See The Approach’s website for details or book tickets here.
Busy Billy has rescheduled his ‘Audience With’ appearance at The Approach next month – originally planned for the 12 November, the event will now take place on Thursday, 26 November. Refunds will be available to those with tickets who now can’t make it and you can still win a pair of tickets from LTLF. Billy is apparently going to be in America on the 12th. He might just be on holiday, but if it’s a scouting mission we can get the lowdown from him two week’s later!

Nigel Jemson and Mark Crossley were guest speakers at another of The Approach’s “An Audience With….” series.
After a slightly late start, compere Darren Fletcher introduced Nigel Jemson (to a chorus of “who ate all the pies?!”) who proceeded to amuse and enlighten us with stories about his career, many of which, unsurprisingly, involved Brian Clough.
