LTLF announces the launch of new fanzine

LTLF has been providing top-notch Forest-related entertainment for the past six seasons – no matter how miserable the team’s fortunes have been, the site has been there to provide some light relief. Unfortunately, this has only been available over the internet… until now! Next season, we are excited to be launching a brand new
LTLF magazine to bring you the great coverage you’ve come to expect from us in paper form at the matches themselves.
Although the internet has taken over from fanzines in many respects, we believe there is worth in the traditional paper fanzine. After all, there is no other way to provide some humorous distraction before, after and maybe even during the games – at any rate, great
LTLF features like the Lego Reports will certainly be more entertaining that half-time penalties.
Forest already have a long-running fanzine, Blooming Forest, but we’re confident that the club can handle two fanzines and the fans will appreciate even more choice. In the heyday of the fanzine, Forest had as many as four being sold at once. Many attempts to launch new ’zines in recent years have failed, but by combining
LTLF’s pedigree in original and quality content, and experience from some of those involved in the old
Forest Forever fanzine, we are convinced that this fanzine can be a success and continue the
LTLF brand’s development and expansion.
We have some great content lined up for the magazine itself, including great cartoons, outrageous spoof news stories, exclusive interviews, funny features and thought-provoking opinion articles. Much of the material will be familiar to viewers of the site, but it will also contain a lot of things exclusive to the fanzine, such as special Lego Reports that won’t be available elsewhere.
We hope to bring the LTLF spirit to a wider audience by reaching those who perhaps do not use the internet. The fanzine will cost £1 per issue and will be available at numerous locations around the City Ground on matchdays. However, even if you don’t get to as many games as you like or even if you live abroad, you will still be able to read the magazine as we will be offering subscription services through the site.
We are planning to bring out our first issue to coincide with Forest’s first game of the season, at home to Huddersfield on August 6. Please watch the site for further details. The site itself will also be having a redesign at some point in the next few weeks, to improve ease of use and to incorporate information about the
fanzine, and much more information will be posted on the site over the summer.
