Chris Doig ![]()
| 1998 - | Defender | 51 (16) games | 1 goal |

Chris
worked his way up from the club's youth academy to get into the
first team at the end of 1998. It was somewhat a baptism of fire
as the Reds were going through the worst season for many years,
but the youngster impressed and when David Platt took over in
1999 he continued to make steady progress. However, the Scotish
U21 international has beend dogged by injury, keeping him out of
the first team.
Still fairly young, Doig hasn't fully learnt his trade yet, but
is among Forest's most promising defenders. His man-marking is
good and he tackles and heads the ball with great confidence.
Although not as 'physical' in the game as some defenders, he
reads the action very well and rarely makes mistakes.
