Andy Impey

Forest first signed Andy Impey on a one-month loan from Leicester - but having helped the Reds to avoid relegation at the tail end of the season, he has been brought in on a one-year deal
following his release from Leicester earlier in the month. Impey turns 33 this year, but he has helped Forest fill the space on the right wing, a position which has been a problem for the Reds since Steve Stone left in 1999.
Impey played the majority of his career with QPR after signing from non-league side Yeading for £35,000 in 1990. He spent seven years with the Hoops, before moving on to Premiership side West Ham for £1.2 million. However, he stayed only 14 months before being sold again to Leicester City for £1.2 million.
Impey had three successful seasons at Leicester, but by the 2003/04 season he found himself out of favour with manager Micky Adams. Joe Kinnear brought him to Forest in a joint deal with Alan Rogers, just days after he was appointed as manager.
Andy's impact on the first team was equally immediate, with a goal three minutes into his debut against Walsall. He can play either on the right wing or at full-back and has proved a useful addition to the Reds' team. His initial loan contract was extended until the end of the season, and when his contract at Leicester expired he signed a 12-month deal with Forest.
