Jermaine Jenas
| 2001 - 2002 | Midfielder | 33 games | 4 goals |

As a
17-year-old, Jermaine burst onto the Forest scene in an FA Cup
game at home to Wolves. Despite the injury hit side falling to a
one-nil defeat, Jermaine shined through above all others. It was
the start of an eventful but short career with Forest for young
Jenas.
JJ had worked his way up through the Forest youth academy, and
when Paul Hart took over as first team manager he was determined
to make use of JJ's talents. Jenas quickly became a regular in
the side, his pace, creativity and eye for goal making him a very
useful asset at the start of the 2001/02 season.
He soon attracted the attention of big clubs and owing to Forest
financial crisis he was sold to Newcastle United for £5m in
January of 2002, after only a year in the Forest spotlight. But a
year was enough for him to become very popular with the Forest
faithful and he also made a number of apperances for the England
U21s under the manager who gave him his break, David Platt.
