Gareth Taylor

2003 - Forward 32 (6) games 8 goals

Experienced striker Taylor was signed for £500,000 in August 2003 form Burnley on David Johnson's recommendation. At first, the Welsh International struggled to make an impression under Paul Hart, whose passing style wasn't suited to him.

However, since Joe Kinnear took over, Taylor has popped up with a number of crucial goals and gained some popularity among the Forest fans. It was his late goal against Bradford that ended a four-month winless streak, something alone with the fans were very grateful.

He is more suited to Kinnear's more direct style of play and could prove a good target-man to play alongside David Johnson. However, he will have to fight for his place and prove his worth ahead of the likes of Marlon King and any new signings.
