Field Notes

  • ‘Fair result’ seems to be the general consensus of Sunday’s draw against Watford, with the Seat Pitch report mentioning the mutual appreciation from fans after a highly entertaining contest. Manuel Almunia reckons it was the right result even if he was perhaps the busiest of the two keepers.

Forest lost their discipline somewhat in midfield as the game went on and Gianfranco Zola was left lamenting his side’s defending. Meanwhile Kenny Burns singled out Ishmael Miller for his blinkered vision.

  • Nottingham Forest Ladies began their league season with a win away at Preston. As the club battles for survival off the pitch, every positive result they get will surely help convince potential investors they are worth saving.
  • An otherwise satisfying weekend for Forest fans was spoiled by the worrying news of John Robertson‘s suspected heart attack during a tennis match with Liam O’Kane. It’s a cruel blow for Robertson who, despite his former reputation for enjoying both fags and booze, has been working hard to improve his general well-being in recent years. LTLF, along with every other Forest fan, wishes Robbo the speediest of recoveries.
