Field Notes

  • Forest have announced a long-anticipated television deal with Al Jazeera, the Arabic satellite network. Tomorrow’s game with Bolton will be the ‘first of many’ home games broadcast. Operations manager Joe Sharphouse says he hopes Forest’s engagement in the Middle East will continue to grow.
  • If the club’s plans for the future include a new stadium, they could do worse than look at this student project. A flight of fancy, maybe, but it certainly beats this in terms of presentation and imagination.
  • Forest Ladies have received their first major donation from a local firm but are still looking for the bulk of the £20,000 they need to survive. Talks with NFFC are believed to have been scheduled but there have been mixed message given on Twitter about the relationship between the men’s and women’s clubs.
