Forest lost the game 1-0 to a Wimbledon side who finished the season in eighth, a place and one point above the Reds. The Forest line-up that day was: Sutton, Laws, Pearce, Walker, Wilson, Rice, Crosby, Parker, Clough, Currie & Carr.
