…they’ve now gone and made him captain! It’s wrong, just wrong.

His sale to Leicester was unavoidable and in fact it probably kept us up, freeing up some urgently needed funds for Steve Cotterill to spend on loan players. But as if losing one of our greatest servants in the recent era to a local rival wasn’t bad enough, he soon started putting in ‘Man of the Match’ performances for the Foxes… and now he’ll be wearing their armband. It’s sickening.

Meanwhile, another former City Ground favourite (thinking his first spell with us, not the damp squib second) Marlon Harewood has been training with Sheffield Wednesday and looks set to land a deal after being taken on their pre-season tour.

Not much news on the Forest front so far today, certainly not any incoming signings of our own, let alone a manager, hence the updates about other clubs.
