Lukewarm send-off

Luke Chambers has finally completed his protractor-ed (geddit?) move to Ipswich Town.

He leaves Forest with fond memories, but the Through The Seasons Before Us blogger perhaps sums up feelings when he says he is not too sorry to our former captain go.

On the other hand, the first team resumed training today but presumably couldn’t do any match training as Chris Gunter is the only senior defender left at the club (unless you count Chris Cohen who, in some good news, is on the way back from his injury).

Joel Lynch is believed to have left the club after saying he was ‘unemployed’ on Twitter last week, although this has yet to be officially confirmed, and there are fresh rumours of Premier League moves for young Jamaal Lascelles.

The season is less than five weeks away and if you thought we gave away too many goals last season, things are going to be even worse this time if we don’t bring in some defensive players pronto.
