Confirmation at last?

After what seems like months of speculation and waiting, the Al-Hasawi takeover may finally be complete.

In the last hour Fawaz Al-Hasawi posted the following on Twitter:

I can officially announce that the acquisition of nottingham forest is complete

Of course one tweet shouldn’t be enough to prompt jubilant dancing in the streets, so we eagerly await official confirmation from the club, not to mention more details of what the new owners have planned for us.

Their first priority should be to strengthen the squad, particularly in defence, as highlighted by Seat Pitch. Their article concludes with a very sage caveat to anyone popping champagne right now:

The next month could be very exciting but if there are big changes at the City Ground they’re likely to produce gradual, rather than instant, results.
